Bored part two

So here's part two of my post

Jessie woke up the next morning, got dressed and went down stairs to fix breakfast before Austin and Steven woke up. She fixed scrambled eggs and bacon. She burned herself a few times with the bacon since she hadn't fixed it before but in the end it was nice and crispy. She got her part of the food and walked out onto the porch with it and sat down relaxing.
Steven came down after getting dressed and got breakfast then walked onto the porch. He sat down next to Jessie and asked "Did Austin ever come home yesterday?" Jessie looked at him said "I figured he came home while we were playing Halo and we just didn't notice." Steven shook his head and replied "He wasn't in his room when I went to bed. I checked." Jessie looked down the road the direction of Desmond's house and thought "Where is he then?" Steven took at bite of bacon and asked "What are we gonna do if he isn't at Desmond's house?" Jessie answered Steven without shifting her gaze saying "Then we'll tell the police."
Jessie got up and took her plate inside and put it in the dishwasher. She stood in the kitchen a few minutes thinking "If Austin is missing why would someone? Who would have kidnapped him?"  Then a new thought popped into her mind "What if  it's the same guy that was in Cranford?"
She ran outside and past Steven down to the street and started towards Desmond's house. Steven ran after her asking "What's goin' on?" Jessie responded "We need to make sure Austin's with Desmond." as she ran. Steven kept pace with her and asked "Why?" Jessie looked at Steven out of the corner of her eye and said "I'll explain later." Steven saw it was useless to continue questioning her so the two ran in silence the rest of the way.
When they got there they went up to the front door and knocked. Desmond opened the door and asked "What are you two doin' 'ere?" Jessie asked "Is Austin here?" quickly. Desmond shook his head and asked "Why did he say he was comin' over 'ere?" Steven said "Yesterday he got made at Jessie 'cause she sided with me and he said he was comin' here but he didn't come home last night." Desmond looked at Steven with a look of shock and said "You ain't jokin' are ya?" Jessie shook her head and said "Unfortunately he isn't."
Desmond asked "What are ya gonna do?" Jessie answered "We are going to go to the police. Did you see the news report about guys like Austin going missing around here?" Desmond nodded so Jessie continued "Those boys only lived a week. I do not want to lose Austin. As much as a pain in the behind as he is he's still my brother." Desmond asked "Is there anythin' I can do to help?" Jessie shook her head and said "No but if we need you we will call you." Desmond nodded and said "I need to get back to what I was doin'." Jessie said goodbye and she started walking home with Steven.
When they got to the house Jessie picked up the phone and called the police. She explained what was going on and they asked her to come to the station to talk. Jessie told Steven to stay at the house while she was gone. Steven looked at her and said "Good luck." as she walked out the front door.
When she got to the police station a man walked up to her and said "I'm agent Ryder. Would you mind telling us exactly what is wrong?" Jessie nodded and said "Yesterday Austin and Steven got in a fight. Nothing new they do it all the time. I went to go see what it was about and Austin said they were just playing but Steven said Austin was picking on him. I told Austin to mind his own business. He walked off and said he was going to a friend's house. Me and Steven spent the rest of the day talking and playing video games. Austin was suppose to come home at sunset but Steven said he wouldn't be back until after dark. Steven went to bed before me. When I did go to bed I figured he came in while I wasn't paying attention. This morning I asked Steven if he had seen Austin and he said hadn't so" Jessie paused to take a breath then continued "I went to his friend's house and he never got there, that's when I called you."
Agent Ryder nodded in confirming that he understood the situation. He asked "Where is Steven now?" Jessie replied "He's at the house. Why?" Agent Ryder answered her with "You're probably right about Austin. Question is who took him." Jessie said "Surely you know about the kidnapper in Cranford." Agent Ryder nodded and said "I do however that's out of my range." Jessie rolled her eyes and mumbled "Of course it is." then asked "Can you ask anyone for help? I know the stats of things like this and if this is like most things Austin will be dead by the time we find him."
Agent Ryder looked at her and said "Due to the other kidnappings we will call the BAU and ask for help until then you need to go back to your house and wait for us to call you." Jessie asked "How long will it take for the BAU to get here?" Agent Ryder said simply "Depends on if they have an open case already." Jessie nodded and said "Then I'll be going." then stood and left.
Steven ran out to Jessie and asked "What did they say?" when she neared the house. Jessie responded "They told us to wait for the BAU." Steven asked "Think they'll call you in as an intern for this case?"  Jessie shook her head and said "Not likely since he's my brother." Steven replied "True but that could also work to their advantage." Jessie gave Steven a crooked smile and said "Fair enough." then went to bed.

Part three coming soon

Bored

Bored to death so here's randomness.

Jessie sat down in her lawn chair relaxing as she watched the birds fly by her house. She hadn't been able to relax in six months and even then it lasted but a moment. Her younger brothers were fighting again and she had to go find out why.
Jessie has had a hard life growing up in foster homes. Until two years ago when she was actually adopted into a family of four. Since then life for her went better with every passing day until six months ago. It was on the way to her eighteenth birthday party that her mother died in a wreck. Two weeks later her father died of heart break. Leaving her the guardian of her brothers.
Since then she has had to get accustomed to all work and no play. Now that school is out for the summer she gets to relax... she wishes. Now she has to deal with her brothers all day. She dreads it when she wakes up but she is always glad they wake later than her.
She stood from her seat and walked around behind the house to see her thirteen year old brother Steven on the ground with sixteen year old Austin standing triumphantly over him. She asked "What are you two fighting over this time?" after examining the situation. Austin looked at her and said "We were just playin' around." Steven stood up quickly and said "He's lying! I was mindin' my own business when he came along and started buggin' me."
Jessie grabbed Austin's arm and pulled him to the side of the house and told him to mind his own business. She let go of his arm when she was convinced he would do so for at least the next half hour. Austin turned and walked off sayin' "I'm goin' to Desmond's house for a bit."
Steven came around the corner of the house and said "Thanks Jessie." Jessie smiled and said "It was nothin'. You know you can come get me any time he's bugging you." Steven looked at the ground and replied "Yea I know. I'm just" Steven paused to think of what to say. While Steven thought about what to say Jessie said "You want to prove to him your not a little kid anymore right?" Steven nodded and said "You always understand what I'm 'bout to say before I say it."
Jessie put her arm around Steven and said "That's because I know what it's like to be a younger sibling." as they walked back to the front porch. The two sat down and talked casually for the next hour or so until Jessie got up to fix lunch. Steven decided to stay outside and enjoy the wonderful day.
When Jessie was done making lunch she brought it out and gave Steven a sandwich then took one herself as she sat down. Steven thanked her and said "Egg sandwich on white bread yum." The two talked and ate then talked some more until sunset. At about eight thirty Jessie asked "Any idea when Austin will get home?" Steven answered "Depends where'd he go?" Jessie replied "He went to Desmond's or at least that's what he said." Steven responded "In that case he'll be home in two minutes." after a quick look at his watch.
Jessie looked at him and asked "You know this how?" Steven smiled and said "He told me I'd not see him till dark. It's dark in what has become one minute." Jessie laughed quietly and muttered "Why did he say that? They care about each other."
After they sat in silence a few minutes Steven stood up and said "Close your eyes I have a surprise for you." Jessie closed her eyes knowing full well it would do no good to argue with him. When Steven was convinced she wouldn't peek he slipped inside and went quickly up to his room. He walked over to his closet, opened it and pulled out a small box about half the size of a computer keyboard. He ran back down stairs, quietly walked onto the porch and set the box in Jessie's lap then said "It came in the mail from one of the foster homes you stayed at. They told me to give it to you today exactly. Don't know why today but oh well."
Jessie opened her eyes, picked up the box and opened it. She pulled out a book, when she opened it she found that it was filled with her favorite poems and stories. She looked at Steven and asked "Which family sent this to me?" Steven replied "I don't know they didn't include their name. All they said was that they housed you for a month and that they wanted you to have it today." Jessie looked through the book to find a name but found nothing.
Jessie looked at Steven and said "It's getting cold lets head in." Steven nodded and held the door for Jessie then went in himself. Jessie went into the living room and turned on the x-box then put Halo ODST. Steven looked at Jessie and asked "What your not gonna read your book?" Jessie shook her head and said "No I want kill virtual people." Steven smiled and said "Then let me join you." as he grabbed a controller and sat down on the couch next to Jessie. They played Halo for the next three hours until Steven went to bed.
Jessie played one more level after Steven went to bed. When she finished the level she got up and shut off the x-box then walked upstairs to her room. She changed clothes and brushed her teeth before laying down in her bed to read. She read the book given to her for thirty minutes until she fell asleep.

That was part one. Part two will be posted soon. Please leave comments.
